Rev. John Vijey

Lead Pastor of Awesome God Church in Toronto, is passionate about sharing God’s love and redemption with others. As the founder and President of Grace Good Mission, he demonstrates his dedication to evangelism and missionary work. Through his music, Rev. John creates an atmosphere of worship, helping people experience God’s presence.

Rev. John’s personal story is a powerful example of faith and perseverance. Despite facing numerous challenges, he has remained committed to his faith. Born in Sri Lanka, he moved to Canada in 1988 and has built a life centered on his faith. He is grateful for the love and support of his family, including his wife Angeline and their two children, Jeremiah and Lily

Pastor John Vijey faithfully serves Grace Good News Mission as a founder and President with a heart for God’s Word, prayer, and discipleship. His passion is to see lives transformed through the truth and power of the Gospel.

The Lord Jesus gave his disciples their final instruction in these words.

All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations. Baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of The Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And Surely I am with you always to the very end of the age”(Matthew 28:18 – 20)

OBJECTIVES

To coordinate and organize crusades, evangelical outreach programs for the churches and provide them with newly saved soul.
To prepare and promote spiritual growth seminars, conferences, camps and retreats for Canada living Asian communities and enabling them to grow and mature spiritually to become disciples and blessed people to the society.
To facilitate workshops to organize and train introductory bible based programs for kids and youths.
To establish a communication network program through media, telephone and Internet services to associate with many souls and become prayer partners of our organization.
To publish, provide and facilitate Christian spiritual promotional reading materials, books and magazines. Literature, and audio and videocassettes to help to establish a personal devotional time.
To help and assist needy sick children to provide basic needs.
To support and maintain missions and missionaries.
International development, such as relief of poverty, Health education and improving the quality of water.

1 The Great Commission

We believe in Christ 's great commission to the church to go into all the world and preach the Gospel.

2 The Authority of the Holy Bible

We believe that the BIBLE is the inspired word of God. The whole BIBLE in the original is without error and such is infallible, absolutely supreme and sufficient in authority in all matters of faith and practice.

3 The Great Commission

We believe in the unity of the one true living God. Who is eternal, self-existent, " I AM " who has revealed Himself as being in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

4 The Person and Work of Jesus Christ

We believe in the virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, resurrection, ascension, intercession, and the second coming of Jesus Christ.

5 The Fall of Man

We believe in the fall of man who created pure and upright, but fell voluntary transgression.

6 Salvation Through Faith in Christ

We believe in salvation through repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, who died for our sins according to the scriptures, and through His blood we have redemption. Mankind can be born again only through faith in Christ. The Holy Spirit turns a person to God from sin.

7 Water Baptism

We believe that baptism by total immersion in water is enjoined upon all that have really repented and have truly believed with all their hearts in Christ as Savior and Lord.

8 Baptism in the Holy Spirit

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the initial evidence which is the speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.

9 Spiritual Gifts and Church Ministry

We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the offices have been set by God in the Church, as recorded in the New Testament.

10 Divine Healing

We believe that deliverance from the sickness by divine healing is provided for in the atonement.

11 The Lord’s Supper (Communion)

We believe that breaking of the bread is enjoined upon all believers until the Lord returns.

12 The Rapture, Tribulation, and Final Judgment

We believe the rapture is the imminent coming of the Lord for the Church, the tribulation period is a time of judgment to the whole earth and the second coming of Christ and the first judgment in which the unbelieving dead will be raised and judged.

13 The Fruit of the Spirit and Love
